James Murphy, steals one for the Hat Trick

James Murphy steals the win in last night’s Season Opener in the LoO IMCA Style Modified Series. This win, marks his third League of Outlaws win in a row. Brayton Kajewski, dominated all race. But, with a couple late race cautions, allowed the field to bunch back up and Kajewski felt the pressure and overdrove the entry into turn one, making contact with the outside wall. This gave James Murphy the opening he was looking for and was able to sneak by. Kajewski immediately battled back and momentarily regained the lead.

Unfortunately for Kajewski, another yellow flag would fall and Murphy was the first car across the line the previous lap and the lead would fall to Murphy once the caution came out. Kajewski was never able to rebound and challenge for the lead after that and would have to settle for a second place finish with Evan Dawson third, Tylar Autery fourth, and rounding out the top five in fifth position was Bryson Fields.
