IMCA Style Stock Cars, The Wait is Over

The League of Outlaws has sought after implementing IMCA Style racing since the league came to iRacing. It is what drove guys like AJ Hunsinger, Mitch Maynard, and Brayton Kajewski. The love they share for IMCA is what the league is founded on. After perfecting the IMCA Style Modifieds, the next goal to be achieved was to build a setup for a car to run an IMCA Style Stock Car.

The pioneers of the League of Outlaws tried a few combinations of vehicles, even trying the asphalt NASCAR Legends 87’s since they are the closest to an IMCA Stock Car anesthetically. But, there were complications with the steering as iRacing wouldn’t allow for a quick enough steering ratio to be used with the 87’s and it wasn’t realistic or easy to drive on a dirt track. So, the League decided to use the already tried and true dirt street stock with a modifieds setting to give it the characteristics and feel of an IMCA Style Stock Car, just as they did with the UMP/IMCA Modified.

It turned out to be a great decision as they were able to get a great setup together to make it feel close to an IMCA Style Stock Car with that uses hard G60 Hoosier Racing tires. The timing couldn’t have worked out any better as there have been talks from iRacing about adding a Monte Carlo body/chassis option to be used with the Dirt Street Stocks which will give the IMCA Style Stock Car a more familiar look than just the Camaro.

The League of Outlaws is set to launch the LoO IMCA Style Stock Car this Sunday at Lernerville, January 7th at 9PM ET and will be broadcasted by PeaceMaker Gaming on Facebook.
